Teacher Training, 200 hours
Sixteen weeks. Live online through the week, five immersion weekends in person. A full professional qualification for people who cannot leave work for a month.

Registered with Yoga Alliance
The Kundalin Institute is a Registered Yoga School. On completion you are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 and to teach internationally.
We are also certified by the Yoga Certification Board under the Ministry of Ayush, which is the credential that carries weight with Indian institutional employers.

Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. Certified by the Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
Who this is built for
This suits you if:
You work full time and cannot take twenty four consecutive days off. You want a qualification that is recognised internationally. You would rather learn over four months than be compressed into four weeks, because the practice needs time to settle.
This does not suit you if:
You want a residential immersion, which is a genuinely different experience and Rishikesh, Goa and Mysore all do it well. You want the fastest possible route to a certificate. You are not prepared to practise daily between sessions.
The curriculum
Mapped to the four Yoga Alliance educational categories.
| Hours | Category | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| 75 | Techniques, training and practice | Asana. Alignment, sequencing, modification and hands on adjustment. Pranayama through to retention practices, with contraindications taught explicitly. Concentration practices drawn from the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra. |
| 30 | Anatomy and physiology | Musculoskeletal anatomy applied to asana. The respiratory mechanics behind pranayama. Injury, contraindication and referral. Taught by visiting faculty. |
| 30 | Yoga humanities | The Kashmir Shaiva sources in their own terms. History, key texts, and the philosophical frame the practices sit inside. Ethics and the teacher’s responsibilities. |
| 50 | Professional essentials | Teaching methodology, sequencing a class, voice and language, observation and correction. Practicum with feedback. The business of teaching, covering pricing, insurance, screening and scope of practice. |
| 15 | Independent study | Assigned reading, practice logging and the final teaching submission. |

Questions
Yes. The Kundalin Institute is a Registered Yoga School, so graduates are eligible to register as an RYT 200. Registration with Yoga Alliance is a separate application you make yourself, and they charge their own fee.
No. Yoga Alliance requires all 200 hours to be completed within one registered programme, and combining trainings is not permitted. Foundations and Immersion graduates get priority admission and a fee credit instead. We are explicit about this because not every school is.
Roughly sixty per cent. The five immersion weekends are in person and are not optional, because adjustment, hands on work and assessed teaching cannot be done down a video call.
Delhi NCR for the 2027 intake, at a venue confirmed on enrolment. We publish the address well before the first weekend so you can plan travel.
Weekday and Sunday sessions are recorded and available for the duration of the programme. Yoga Alliance sets attendance requirements for contact hours, so there is a limit on how much can be made up by recording. We tell you what it is before you enrol.
No. The system taught internationally under that name comes from a different lineage with different sources. We teach the kundalini material as it appears in the classical Kashmir Shaiva sources.
No. You need a sustained regular practice and a body you understand. Teaching is about observation and communication far more than about your own range.
